Back in the Saddle Wow. I’ve really fallen off the wagon following my last surgery. It seemed as though many things took a back seat when dealing with my eyes. While I am still being treated, and recovering in that long process, I am much better. The biggest issue is severely dry eyes, which make doing some of the things I love the most, very difficult. One of those things is writing, and another is photography. I am hopeful my eye condition will continue to improve, but it is a sobering reminder of just how much our eyesight can be taken for granted. All of that said, I am happy, and proud to report that my progress on WW (Formerly Weight Watchers) has continued during my absence from my blog! I am down to 266.4 lbs., which is 33.6 lbs. down from my peak weight, and 29.5 lbs. down since I started WW. So, I am loving the progress, even in the slow times. In the back of my mind, I could hear ring announcer Bruce Buffer saying, "It's Time!!!!!" Yep! It is really past time for me to grab this by the horns! I have to lose weight, and I know it will not be an easy journey. More than just losing weight, I want to be healthier. So, I'm really telling this for me, but I hope that it helps someone else in their journey as well. So, laugh with me, or at me! But laugh! ~Stephen Smyly
